LumiSea is a mobile app developed by PT. Santinilestari Energi Indonesia for Android and iOS. It lets fishermen connect to, switch on/off, and monitor the battery health of a Lampu Nelayan — a solar‑powered fishing lamp with a built‑in Battery Management System (BMS) — using a direct Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connection.
The app talks to your lamp device directly over Bluetooth. It does not require you to create an account, and it does not operate a cloud backend that stores your battery data, your lamp's status, or your identity.
LumiSea is designed to work entirely over a direct Bluetooth connection between your phone and your lamp. We — PT. Santinilestari Energi Indonesia — do not operate any server that receives, stores, or processes the data listed below. It stays on your phone and on the lamp device it's paired with.
Account & Identity Data
None. The app has no sign‑up, login, or user profile. We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number.
Bluetooth Device Data
When you scan for nearby devices, the app reads the advertised name, Bluetooth identifier, and signal strength of lamp devices in range so you can select the one to connect to. This is used only to establish and maintain the Bluetooth connection and is never transmitted off your phone.
Lamp Status & Battery Telemetry (BMS Data)
Once connected, your lamp's BMS streams live battery and status data to the app over Bluetooth so you can monitor it in the dashboard. This telemetry is displayed in real time and is never uploaded to, routed through, or stored on any server operated by us.
Local App Preferences
The app stores a small set of preferences locally on your device: the last connected lamp (so it can offer to reconnect automatically) and your custom safety warning thresholds (low‑battery and cell‑imbalance limits). This data never leaves your device and is removed when you uninstall the app.
The table below lists every permission the app can request, on which platform, and exactly what it is used for. You may deny or later revoke most of these in your device Settings; doing so may limit the corresponding feature.
| Permission | Platform | Why it's used |
|---|---|---|
| Bluetooth scan & connect | AndroidiOS | Required to discover nearby lamp devices, connect to the one you choose, send on/off commands, and receive live battery data. |
| Bluetooth / Bluetooth Admin (legacy) | Android ≤ 11 | Older Bluetooth permission model required on Android 11 (API 30) and below for the same scanning and connecting described above. |
| Location | Android ≤ 11 |
An Android OS requirement for
classic Bluetooth LE scanning on
Android 11 and below — the app
does
not read, use, or
store your GPS location. On
Android 12+, the app requests
Bluetooth scan permission with the
neverForLocation flag
specifically so location is not
required.
|
| Internet access | Android | Included by default in the app's underlying web runtime. It is not used to transmit lamp data, battery data, or any personal information to us or to any third party. |
We do not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, call logs, SMS, photo library, or background location.
Everything the app accesses is used for one purpose only: connecting to and operating your Lampu Nelayan device.
- Device discovery & pairing: Bluetooth scanning finds nearby lamp devices so you can select and connect to yours.
- Lamp control: Connecting sends on/off commands directly to the lamp over Bluetooth and confirms the lamp's response.
- Battery monitoring: Live BMS data (cell voltages, capacity, imbalance) is displayed on the dashboard so you can check battery health at a glance, with color‑coded warnings based on your configured thresholds.
- Convenience & safety: Remembering the last connected lamp and your chosen warning thresholds lets the app reconnect faster and flag low‑battery or cell‑imbalance conditions the way you want.
Because LumiSea has no server component and no account system, there is no central place for us to share your data from — we simply never receive it.
- Between your phone and your lamp: Commands and battery telemetry are exchanged directly, over Bluetooth, with the specific lamp device you connect to — nowhere else.
- Third parties: We do not share, sell, or transmit any data to advertisers, analytics providers, or other third parties.
- Legal obligations: As we do not retain any of the data described above, we would have nothing to disclose in response to a legal request; if that ever changes, this policy will be updated accordingly.
- Battery telemetry & lamp status: Never stored anywhere, on either device or any server — it exists only as a live reading for as long as you're connected.
- Bluetooth scan results: Held in memory only while scanning is in progress; discarded as soon as scanning stops or the app closes.
- Last connected device & warning thresholds: Retained on your device until you reset them in‑app, clear the app's storage, or uninstall it.
The app relies on the lamp's proximity and Bluetooth's pairing model to protect the connection between your phone and your lamp:
- Proximity‑limited connection: Bluetooth Low Energy only works within a short physical range, so only phones near your lamp can discover or connect to it.
- Device verification: The app checks that a discovered device exposes the expected lamp Bluetooth service before treating it as a genuine Lampu Nelayan, and disconnects otherwise.
- No persistent server: With no cloud backend involved, there is no central database of user or battery data that could be breached.
- Explicit user action required: Scanning, connecting, and sending on/off commands all require an explicit action from you — the app never controls your lamp in the background without your knowledge.
Since LumiSea does not create an account or store personal data on any server, there is no remote profile for us to show, correct, or export on your behalf. Your controls are on the device itself:
- Disconnect anytime: End the Bluetooth connection to your lamp instantly from the in‑app dashboard.
- Revoke permissions: Disable Bluetooth or Location access at any time from your device's Settings app.
- Reset or clear local data: Reset your safety thresholds to default in‑app, or clear the app's storage / uninstall it to remove all locally saved preferences, including the remembered last device.
If you have questions about how a specific permission is used, contact us using the details in Section 11.
LumiSea is a technical utility tool intended for fishermen and boat operators, and is not directed at children.
We may revise this Privacy Policy if the app's features or permissions change. When we do, we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
- Publish the new policy version through the app store listing and/or an in‑app notice ahead of the update that introduces the change, where required by applicable law.
Continued use of the app after a change has been posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
